PRESENTATION OF THE ORGANIZATION
SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
Goal/Purpose of the Position:

Under the supervision of the Technical WASH Officer, the WASH DWs will be responsible supervising WASH activities including water, tower tank, latrines rehabilitation and community engagement activities, such as hygiene kits distribution, Data Entry, forming community committee, supervising implementation works.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in supervising the construction/rehabilitation process, ensuring completion within timelines and accordance with approved BOQs.
- Verify incoming materials are of the highest quality.
- Supervise the construction/rehabilitation process, ensuring completion within timelines and accordance with approved BOQs.
- Provide training to all relevant beneficiaries (Hygiene promotion, Community committee and beneficiaries).
- With support from the Technical WASH Officer assist in developing, implementing and monitoring monthly activity plans to achieve expected results
- Support in data entry, documentation and the preparation of documents.
- Visit the fields regularly to supervise the progress of activities.
- Ensure and verify beneficiaries’ data; conduct verification assessment as required
- Follow-up Hygiene kits distribution.
- Organize, plan, and supervise community participation.
- Assist in Monitoring and Recording the implementation before, during and after each activity.
- Establish safety and security measures for each activity and ensure that organization principles are respected and followed.
- Any other related duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
Profile requirements:-
- A university degree in civil engineering for the site supervisor, and high school for the other duties.
- One year- technical experience in the sector of WASH projects
- Strong Community Mobilization skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, work efficiently under pressure and in changing circu
